WORK RECORD
Sally Edwards is a founding member of WishWorks, providing puppet shows, stilt walking and storytelling for schools, festivals, events and parties since 2000.
This company have performed extensively for local councils, wildlife trusts, community organisations and corporate events. Their most recent project Fynn Dragon and the Ugly Bugs (2005) is an anti-bullying show for primary schools and was Funded by the Art Council, England and Brighton and Hove city Council.
Wishworks also lead workshops in story-writing and puppet making for children and adults, for the able bodied and those with extra support needs.
Sally's role within the company is of Chair Designate. She is a performer, writer and co-devisor and also makes some of the puppets, set and costumes. She has a strong administrative role- making bookings, writing and organising publicity and mail-outs and chairing meetings. She also does her own financial administration, dealing with invoicing, tax and funding applications.

Care assistant for Blue Arrow care agency, chiefly working at Littlecote a residential home for children with emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). September 2003-May 2005.
Assistant to magician Lynn Thomas 2002.
Performed as Judith in Howard Barker’s play of the same title for friends’ MA production. 2002.
Street theatre consultant for Marketing and Management Consultancy Ltd, in their bid to facilitate the Street Artists’ Support organisation for The Arts Council of England, 2002.
Teaching Drama mornings at a secondary school in Brighton in 2002. Essentially a supply teacher leading four hour workshops covering topics from ritual to Shakespeare.
Touring with the Cycle Circus in the summer of 2001, taking a musical puppet show about environmental awareness around the west of England on bicycles.
Storytelling with puppets as part of the Faraway Wish Puppet Theatre, June-September 2000. In play schemes for disabled and able bodied children, and at children’s parties.
Leadingworkshops in Forum theatre in schools as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2000, with Thevo (a German Theatre company).
Work as a supporting artist on many productions with Ray Knight and 20:20 casting agencies, 1999-2003.
Storytelling with puppets (marionettes) at a festival and in the street in Melbourne, Australia; November/December 1999.

Touring with métro-boulot-dodo theatre company (a winner of the Total Theatre award at the Edinburgh Festival 1999) for over a year, attending festivals in France, Germany and Serbia and performing in large Experimental Theatre venues. 1997-1998
Leading short and residential workshops in schools and colleges teaching Experimental theatre and devising techniques.
Sally has worked with GCSE and A-level students helping them to develop group projects. Her role in this company was as a performer, workshop leader, administrator and lighting technician.
Drama therapy with a group of people who have senile dementia. 1996.
Summer school working with practitioners of Commedia del Arte and live art. 1995.
A theatre in Education project “Townend Tales”, involving period reconstruction and storytelling in a National Trust Property. 1995.
LAMDA examinations in speech and drama up to Bronze medal standard. Yearly productions at the Patricia Hammond School of Dramatic Art in Chislehurst, Kent.
Skills: Horse riding (own horse), Reiki 1 and 2. Inversion Therapy (acrobatic massage) Zero Balancing, ITEC Holistic massage.
Basic computer skills, Choi Kwang Do (martial art), making marionettes, listening, car driver.
Interests: Reading, walking, cycling, yoga and meditation, traveling, watching films, swimming, skiing, gliding, writing stories, photography, stilt walking and abseiling. Sally loves music.
She
have done play therapy with an Autistic boy and helped in a
playgroup for special needs children.

Sally Edwards is enthusiastic and responsible, calm, patient and hard working. She is good at using her initiative and also works well as part of a team. She is also practical, reliable, healthy and good humoured.
