There are a lot of men in the world named John Storm, and most of them alive today seem to be professionals. There are only two notable JS's that we can find in historical terms - and there's not much detail about them:-

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Storm is a conservationist with a passion for collecting DNA, as part of his near obsession with anthropology. Little did he know that his ocean adventures would lead him to become genetically enhanced, or that he was related to Mark Antony. His story begins when he inherits a solar and hydrogen powered ship from his uncle. That leads him to demonstrate the technology that he believes could help reverse global warming. It is during a race that he meets Kulo-Luna, a giant humpback whale caught in ghost fishing nets. Causing him to re-double his efforts to protest against plastic pollution and other marine litter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

JOHN BRUTZMAN STORM - STATESMAN 1838 - 1901

 

John Brutzman Storm was a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania.

John B. Storm was born in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. He attended the common schools, and was graduated from Dickinson College, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1861. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1863 and commenced practice in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He served as county superintendent of public schools for seven years.

Storm was elected as a Democrat to the Forty-second and Forty-third Congresses. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1874. He was again elected to the Forty-eighth and Forty-ninth Congresses. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1886. He resumed the practice of law, and served as president judge of the forty-third judicial district of Pennsylvania. He died in Stroudsburg in 1901. Internment in Stroudsburg Cemetery.

 

 

 

JOHN STORM - SOLDIER 1760 - 1835

 

John Storm was a revolutionary war soldier who notably served as a dragoon under Colonel William Washington in the American Revolutionary War. The Dragoons commanded huge power upon the battlefield at the time because of their ability to incite fear in opposing infantrymen. "The shock of a cavalry charge often proved decisive in gaining a victory," is a description offered by the United States National Park Service.

John Storm was born in Latimore Township, Pennsylvania, and died in Greene County, Indiana. He served under Captains Ballard Smith and Thomas Boyer in the 1st Virginia Regiment, beginning in 1780. Later in 1781, John Storm served under Captain Robert Morrows in Colonel William Washington's regiment of Continental dragoons.

 

 

JOHN STORM - FICTIONAL HERO (present day)

 

John Storm is the lead protagonist in the Jameson Hunter series of adventure books. In these books John Storm is an amateur anthropologist and keen sports diver. He inherits a solar boat from his uncle, which, together with his inquiring mind, leads him to many adventures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JOHNNY STORM - FICTIONAL HERO (1960 to present day)

 

Johnny Storm is one of the X Men, also known as the human torch (human flame). The Human Torch is a fictional character, a superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Fantastic Four (1 cover-dated Nov. 1961). 

 

A similar, unrelated character of the same name and powers had been created in 1939 by writer-artist Carl Burgos for Marvel Comics' predecessor company, Timely Comics.
Like the rest of the Fantastic Four, the Human Torch gained his powers on a spacecraft bombarded by cosmic rays. He can engulf his entire body in flames, is able to fly, can absorb fire harmlessly into his own body, and can control any nearby fire by sheer force of will. "Flame on!", which the Torch customarily shouts when activating his full-body flame effect, has become his catchphrase.

The youngest of the group, he is brash and impetuous in comparison to his beautiful and compassionate sister, Susan Storm, his sensible brother-in-law, Mister Fantastic, and the grumbling Thing. In the early 1960s, he starred in a series of solo adventures, published in Strange Tales. He is also a friend and frequent ally of Spider-Man, who is approximately the same age as the Torch.

Chris Evans portrayed him in the 2005 film Fantastic Four and the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Lone Star International Film Festival

John moved from being a veteran from both the US Army and US Air Force to being a veteran from the Lone Star International Film Festivals and 2008 and 2009 AFI Dallas International Film Festivals. He had the proud distinction to serve with the US Army’s Presidential Escort for both Presidents Clinton and Bush. After being honorably discharged from the US Air Force as an Intelligence Officer in 2007, John joined the Lone Star family where he currently holds the position of Managing Director. Additionally, he was selected to become the Festival Producer of the 2009 AFI Dallas International Film Festival, an Event Producer for the 2010 Dallas International Film Festival, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian Film Festival of Dallas. He is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Marketing and has a Master’s Degree in Management from Troy University in Alabama. John also serves as a guest lecturer at the prestigious Neeley School of Business at Fort Worth’s Texas Christian University. He is an avid supporter of the Van Cliburn 180, Modern Contemporaries, and Kimbell Cosmopolitans, and is heavily involved in volunteer work at the Tarrant County Humane Society and Fort Worth Botanic Garden.

 

 

John Storm - Trap Shootist

 

 

John V. Storm, 75, of Wahoo died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Lincoln. He was born Oct. 14, 1936, in Wahoo to Arthur and Rose (Vybiral) Storm. He grew up south of Yutan, where he attended country school before graduating from Yutan High School in 1954. He attended Creighton University where he met Sandra Gregerson. They were married on Oct. 1, 1955, at St. John Catholic Church on Creighton’s campus.

John's passion was his family and trapshooting. He traveled with his family all over the country competing in trapshooting tournaments. He was a five-time All American, member of 12 All State teams and led the nation in singles average in 1971. John was inducted into the Nebraska Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 2002. He was a life member of the ATA, NSSA and Lincoln Gun Club. He has owned and operated John Storm Shooting Apparel in Phoenix, which is well known nationally and internationally, since 1986.

He is survived by: his children and spouses, John Jr. and Joy Storm of Columbus, Lisa Layden of Chicago, Perry and Diane Storm of Yutan and Leslie and Joe Chmelka of Cedar Bluffs; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
