M&C Saatchi is an advertising agency. It was formed in January 1995 by brothers Maurice Saatchi and Charles Saatchi after they were ousted from their own prestigious advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi in a bitter boardroom row. Since then, M&C Saatchi has become one of the UK's foremost agencies, overtaking the original Saatchi agency in domestic billings, and establishing a network throughout 12 countries. The group has a particularly strong presence in the Asia Pacific region.
Maurice and Charles Saatchi
Following M&C's launch in 1995, Adweek referred to the company as ‘The fastest growing start-up in the history of advertising’. The company's business model addresses a perceived market gap: between one-off boutiques and large conglomerates. This is driven by the company’s core philosophy that simplicity sells.
The agency has won numerous awards for its creative work. M&C Saatchi remains one of the few independent creative shops, unlike its rival Saatchi & Saatchi, which was made part of the Publicis network in 2000.
Campaigns
The Sydney office of M&C Saatchi is well known throughout the Australian advertising industry for its campaign for Australian Tourism, So where the bloody hell are you?, featuring model Lara Bingle.

The football World Cup 2006 campaign was supported by various initiatives, all based on the same “It’s Your Heimspiel” idea. The posters were one of the biggest OOH campaigns ever, a giant city attack in Berlin.
After the drop out of the German team in the World Cup's quarter final all posters have been taken off immediately. The next day motives have been replaced by fallbacks pointing at the forthcoming World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
