The Lamb, Old Town, is the oldest pub in Eastbourne, dating back to 1180 and a popular gathering place for students and locals, including the late comedian; Tommy Cooper. This is a really cosy gathering place with a warm welcome. There is a full range of Harveys Ales here, which includes Harveys Seasonal Ales.
The
Lamb is one also of the
oldest dog friendly pubs in the country. The historic inn is
much frequented by dog owners in need of refreshment after
walkies in the local park across the road. Full of old oak and
packed at the weekends. Dogs
allowed in all 3 bar areas.
Nelson Kruschandl - nice atmosphere
When I was an engineering student at the College of Further Education, this was the pub to be seen at. This hostelry has a reputation for good traditional English food with an extensive food menu. For this reason and so as not to be disappointed, booking is advised. The pub also runs a cricket team during the summer months. There are 2 Open fires in the pub and the seating is very comfortable, to keep the theme of the pub there is no music, except for the folk club that meets upstairs on Wednesdays (see link below). There is an Upstairs Function Room which can cater for Private Parties, Club Dinners or Committee Meetings up to 50 people seated.
